Other services
Sometimes it is one part that needs attention, not the whole practice.
Not every practice needs a new identity and website. Sometimes what helps is a second pair of eyes, a clearer directory profile, one page that says more plainly what you do, or one part of how the practice appears online put right.
Most of my work is the complete Practice Identity & Website, and if the whole practice needs describing, that is still where I would start. Alongside it I take on smaller pieces of work like these, where they are a good fit and I can do them properly.
What I can help with
Five smaller pieces of work.
Each one is bounded and agreed in writing before it starts. None of them needs the complete service first, and none of them is a cut-down version of it.
Counselling profile review
For Counselling Directory, Psychology Today and similar listings.
A directory profile is often the first thing a prospective client reads, and it is usually written once and rarely looked at again. I read it the way the right client would.
- Clarity, positioning and tone, assessed plainly
- What may be getting in the way of the right person
- A clearer structure, and key sections rewritten where that helps
The aim is simple: the right client understands who you are and how you work more quickly.
SEO setup and assessment
The foundations, measured.
Get the foundations right, measure what happens, then decide whether anything further is worth doing.
- Page titles, descriptions, headings and content structure
- Local relevance, where the practice serves a particular area
- Checks that your pages are indexed and can be found
- Basic measurement set up, and a short review after an agreed period — usually around three months
Nobody can promise a search ranking, and I do not. This is groundwork, not an ongoing SEO service.
Website improvements
For a website you already have, that does not need rebuilding.
Often a site is mostly right, and one part of it is not doing its job.
- A new page, or an existing one restructured
- Clearer wording, and clearer next steps for a visitor
- The route from reading to getting in touch
- Mobile, usability and technical tidying
Whether I can work on it depends on how and where it is built. I will tell you once I have seen it.
Brand and practice materials
Print and digital pieces that belong to the same practice.
The things that sit alongside a website and should look as though they come from the same place.
- Small refinements to an existing identity
- Business cards, leaflets and referral materials
- Profile and social graphics
- Print-ready files and artwork a supplier can use
Focused messaging help
Practical recommendations, not a strategy document.
An outside view of how the practice is presented, and what is worth changing.
- How the practice currently comes across
- Who you are trying to reach, made clearer
- Messaging refined into language you would actually use
- The route from profile or website to an enquiry
How it is priced
A fixed quote where the scope is clear. Otherwise, by the hour.
For smaller pieces of work I usually work at an hourly rate, confirmed before anything starts. If the scope is clearer as a fixed project, I will quote a fixed price instead.
Either way, what is included is agreed in writing first. If the work grows into something new, the new part is quoted separately rather than folded into the original job, so a small piece of work stays small.
Not every request will be a good fit. If yours is not, or if the complete service would serve you better, I will say so.
I do not currently offer paid advertising or PPC management.
